About Assess Plan Do Review
Assess Plan Do Review was built by someone who supports pupils with SEND every day.
Why it exists

I'm Matthew Wade, and I work as a SEND teaching assistant in a secondary school in the West Midlands. Every week I see how much care goes into planning support for pupils with special educational needs, and how little time staff have to do it. A good SEN support plan means working out the barriers to learning, picking strategies that actually help, setting targets everyone can follow and making sure every adult knows what the pupil needs. Done properly, that takes hours.
Schools needed a faster way to do it without cutting corners. So I built one. Assess Plan Do Review does the groundwork in minutes and follows the graduated approach in the SEND Code of Practice, so staff spend their time on professional judgement and on the pupil rather than on paperwork.
Built around pupil privacy
Working in a school, I know how sensitive pupil information is. That's why the tool was designed from the start so that nothing about a pupil is saved or sent anywhere. Everything stays in the browser of the person using it and disappears when the page is closed. You can read exactly how this works in our privacy statement.
About me
- SEND teaching assistant since September 2025, and still working in school alongside running Assess Plan Do Review.
- Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Birmingham (2025) and a BSc in Molecular Genetics from the University of Wolverhampton (2024). That science background is why the tool leans on evidence-informed strategies rather than guesswork.
- Trained in advanced safeguarding, child protection and Prevent.
- Based in Sutton Coldfield.
Because I'm still working in a school, the tool is shaped by what happens in real classrooms, and I keep improving it based on feedback from the staff who use it.
The business
