Accessibility statement
Last reviewed: 30 October 2026
This statement applies to the Assess Plan Do Review website at plandoreview.co.uk, the free demo at demo.plandoreview.co.uk and the school app at app.plandoreview.co.uk. It is provided by SEND Wade (APDR).
We want as many people as possible to be able to use Assess Plan Do Review, including staff who are disabled and the families they share plans with. You should be able to:
- use every page with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are, and a "Skip to content" link at the top of each page;
- zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen, and use the site on a screen as narrow as 320 pixels without scrolling sideways;
- change colours, fonts and text size in your browser;
- use a screen reader: pages use proper headings, landmarks and labelled form fields, and images have text descriptions;
- read text with a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1;
- turn off animation: the site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting, and nothing flashes;
- watch our demo video without sound: it has no speech, and each step is explained in on-screen captions and in text on the page.
We have tried to keep the language plain. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA.
- The website (plandoreview.co.uk): we believe it meets WCAG 2.2 AA, apart from the presentation slides described below.
- The planner (demo and school app): partially meets WCAG 2.2 AA, because of the issues listed below.
What we know isn't fully accessible
- Presentation slides. The 18-slide presentation and its PDF are pictures of slides. Each slide has a short text description, but the detail on each slide is not available as text, and the PDF is not tagged for screen readers. All the same information is on our home page as ordinary text. We plan to add a text version of the presentation by March 2027.
- Headings in the plan preview. In the planner, the preview of the plan jumps from a main heading to third-level headings, which may make it slightly harder to move around by headings with a screen reader. We plan to fix this by January 2027.
- Plans and profiles you download as PDFs. These are made by your browser's "Save as PDF" feature, so how well they work with screen readers depends on your browser. If you need an accessible copy of a plan, use "Copy text" and paste it into a document.
- The PDF reader used to import EHCPs works only with PDFs that contain text. Scanned documents can't be read, so paste the text instead.
If you find a problem that isn't listed here, please tell us.
Documents
Our data protection pack includes a Word document that uses proper headings and table headers, and a tagged PDF summary. If you need any document in a different format, such as large print, plain text or a Word version of a PDF, email us and we'll send it within 5 working days.
Feedback and contact
If you have trouble using any part of Assess Plan Do Review, or need information in a different format, email [email protected]. Tell us the page or feature and what went wrong. We'll reply within 5 working days.
If you're not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
How we tested
We last tested the website, demo and school app on 30 October 2026. We:
- ran automated checks with axe-core 4.10 against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA rules on every page;
- checked keyboard use, visible focus and the order you move through each page;
- checked pages at 320 pixels wide and when zoomed;
- checked colour contrast on every text colour, and fixed the ones that fell short.
Automated tools can't find every problem. We have not yet had the site tested by disabled users or by an independent accessibility auditor, and we plan to do this as the service grows. We review this statement at least once a year, and whenever we make a significant change.
Assess Plan Do Review is run by SEND Wade (APDR), a sole trader. As a private business we are not covered by the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, but we follow the same standard so that schools, academies and trusts can use the service with confidence.
